To further the traditional competition between me and Stuey (only for the sake of tradition of course) I have decided to wrte a new blog entry a few days sooner than I had planned.
It is currently sunday night and my face is on fire. Am I sick I hear you say? No! Some dodgy fuck doused me in petrol and struck a match. Of course I’m sick.
I spent the weekend attending various Fetes in the Brisbane area. This is one of the few things in my life which I still find enjoyable, apart from my friends and fiancee. While this sounds like a boring lifestyle it can be quite an experience. Trash and treasure and book stalls are my selected prey. Seriously I never buy a book new. Does this make me some kind of dirty dero? Maybe. But I get effective new books for $1 or 2. Compare this with $15-25 in the store and I think I’m on to a winner.
Also I collect old computer games of all sorts. Atari, Sega, PC, Nintendo. You name it I have it. I love to collect. I’ve also gotten slot car sets, and videos, DVDs, beer mugs, board games etc. If its in crap condition you don’t have to buy it. But if its in good nick, and you want one, and the price is 5% the retail price who cares if once someone else owned it. Its the ultimate in recycling.
Well today’s post is just a random rant. I needed to be top of the blog board again. Take that Stu! Oh should I also mention who you had to ask to fix up your spelling mistake. Well I think I’ve said enough.

ive found an even cheaper way to score books.
1. visit lots of hostels and swap old books for new ones (u can usually
find at least 1 or 2 that look interesting)
2. Charm old Irish men who just holidayed in Australia and own used
book stores. (works really well)
3. Visit Red Cross/OP shop stores. discovered this from a 8 month
seasoned traveller. bought an almost new book for 65p
